Sometimes, to me, photography is just a way of exploring the visual world and sharpening my visual sensibility. Through cameras and the pictures they produce I become aware of things and their relations to each other. Sometimes I am made surprised by how they reveal themselves to me - the observer and capturer of their conditions.
I passed a demolished house on my way to lunch. What remained were these colored walls (because they belonged to the adjecent houses). The bright blue sky and the shadow of a tree make them interesting, I think.
Waiting is boring, and could be annoying. Unfortunately, I had to experience just that recently when I had to wait to be served at the biggest photo shop in town. An hour was wasted here. Played around with my camera from the bench where I was sitting and saw these stools right in front of me.
I don't know who did this and if it was intentional. The wall turned dirty, but the abstract image was attractive. Putting it in a picture was a bit of a challenge though. Framed tight and on its own, the blotches would not have enough visual energy. So I had to explore the angle a bit. I felt good about including the isle or tunnel next to it as it creates a hollow space and depth that counterbalance the solid/massive surface of the wall. I just like it.
